Description

This four inch ceramic coaster features beautiful art of a red poppy flower. Poppies became an enduring emblem of military remembrance after World War I, when they were among the first plants to bloom across the devastated battlefields of Flanders Fields. Their bright red color came to symbolize both the sacrifice of fallen soldiers and the resilience of life after conflict. The image gained widespread recognition through In Flanders Fields by John McCrae, and over time, the poppy was adopted as a universal sign of honor and memory, especially during observances like Veterans Day and Remembrance Day.
