Description
The B-17 Flying Fortress was undoubtedly the most recognized bomber of WWII. Deliveries to the Army Air Corps begin before America's entry into the war. By 1941, the US was principally concerned with strengthening its forces in the Far East. B-17's would fly to Clark Field in the Philippine Islands with refueling stops at Hickam Field.
Doug Kinsley created Aviation Illustrations in 1989. Having drawn airplanes since he was a young boy with no formal art training, his love of airplanes has enabled him to draw in such detail that one would have to take a second look. Each drawing is thoroughly researched to insure historical accuracy with unmated detail often taking up to 500 hours to complete.
