COBI MKII River Patrol Boat

The Patrol Boat, River (PBR) was a fast, heavily armed American river patrol craft used extensively during the Vietnam War. Designed for shallow-water operations, the PBR featured a fiberglass hull and water jet propulsion, allowing it to navigate narrow rivers and operate in difficult terrain with exceptional agility.

Capable of speeds up to 28.5 knots (53 km/h), the PBR was crewed by four soldiers: a commanding officer, gunner, mechanic, and sailor. Although lightly armored, the boat compensated with formidable firepower, typically equipped with M2HB .50-caliber machine guns on the bow and stern, along with additional small arms and support weapons. The PBR served the U.S. Navy for decades and remains an iconic symbol of riverine warfare.
