Attention to detail extends to the rudder, turbines, and an opening hatch revealing the engine outline beneath. All prints on the set are permanent, ensuring durability.
For display, a special brick stand with a nameplate is included, along with two figures representing an American infantry soldier and a boat crew sailor. A large, double-sided printed US flag also adorns the Higgins Boat.

The Higgins Boat, or Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel (LCVP), played a crucial role during World War II, transporting and landing supplies, small vehicles, and soldiers. It was used extensively during D-Day (June 6, 1944) and in various operations, including Torch in North Africa, Husky, Shingle, and Avalanche in Italy, as well as in Pacific battles like Guadalcanal, the Gilbert Islands, the Philippines, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.
Designed by Andrew Higgins, over 20,000 units of the Higgins Boat were produced by various manufacturers. Built primarily of plywood, the boat was light, cheap, and easy to construct, although it offered no protection against gunfire. Its flat bottom, lowered front ramp, and drive cover enabled it to reach even shallow shores. Capable of carrying a 36-person platoon, a small vehicle with 12 soldiers, or 3.6 tons of cargo, the boat could reach speeds of up to 12 knots (14 mph, 22 km/h) and was armed with two machine guns operated by gunners.
