Richard Glenn Rutan, born on July 1, 1938, is a distinguished retired United States Air Force officer, renowned fighter pilot, accomplished test pilot, and record-breaking aviator. In the annals of aviation history, Rutan etched his name in 1986 as the pilot of the Voyager aircraft, achieving the remarkable feat of the first non-stop, non-refueled around-the-world flight, accompanied by co-pilot Jeana Yeager.

Hailing from Loma Linda, California, Rutan's passion for flying blossomed from a young age. His roots in aviation run deep, with his early experiences shaping a remarkable career trajectory.
