F-4E Phantom II Model Kit

The F-4 Phantom II is a twin-engine, all-weather, third generation fighter-bomber. The aircraft could perform four tactical air roles: air superiority, interdiction, close air support and fleet defense. The aircraft saw service with the U.S. Air Force but also with friendly foreign nations, including to Israel, Iran, Greece, Spain, Turkey, South Korea, West Germany, Australia, Japan, and Great Britain. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981 with a total of 5,195 aircraft built, making it the most produced American supersonic military aircraft in history.

The F-4E Phantom II model kit by Italeri is kit number 2770 in 1:48 scale. This kit includes a decal sheet with 4 different decal sets available, allowing the builder to choose from several versions to finalize the build after painting. The improved decals were a part of the 2017 rebox of this kit. This model is intended to be built by modelers ages 14 and up.
