Description
The 3rd Air Force has a long history as both a training and combat command, with its most prominent roles tied to the European theater, especially during and after World War II. Today, the 3rd Air Force is headquartered at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and serves as the air component for U.S. Air Forces Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). It oversees air operations across Europe and Africa, supporting both NATO missions and U.S. national interests.
An enameled lapel pin that is gold-plated brass and measures approximately 1 inch across shows the 3rd Air Force emblem.
