The F-14 Tomcat was a supersonic, long-range interceptor designed to defend U.S. Navy carrier battle groups from enemy aircraft and anti-ship missiles. After returning home in December 2004, the squadron transitioned to the F/A-18F Super Hornet, marking the end of their era with the legendary Tomcat.
