Description
This replica is a part of the InAir diecast series. It measures approximately 3.5 inches to 4.5 inches.
The Wright Flyer was the first successful powered aircraft, designed and built by the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur. In 1903, it marked a groundbreaking moment in aviation history, achieving controlled, sustained flight with a pilot on board. The biplane design featured a 12-horsepower engine and a unique three-axis control system, including wing warping for lateral control. On December 17, 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, the Flyer made four flights, with the longest spanning 852 feet in 59 seconds. This achievement revolutionized human flight, paving the way for modern aviation and inspiring further innovations in aircraft design, control mechanisms, and aeronautics. The Wright Flyer remains a symbol of the dawn of powered flight.
