Description

The Lockheed C-141 Starlifter, a heavy-duty military airlifter exclusively flown by the U.S. Air Force, with one exception flown by NASA. Introduced in 1965, it replaced the slow piston-engine C-124 Globemaster. Boasting a ferry range of over 6000 miles, it could transport payloads of up to 90,000 pounds over short distances.

In 1989, Doug Kinsley founded Aviation Illustrations. Despite no formal art training, his lifelong passion for airplanes results in detailed drawings that demand a second look. Each drawing undergoes rigorous historical research, with unmatched attention to detail often consuming up to 500 hours per piece.
