Tornado Pen P-51 Mustang

This P-51 Mustang Tornado Vintage Metalsmith Rollerball with acid-etched design elements, recreates the classic WWII airplane on a pen. P-51 Mustang is widely regarded as the finest all-around piston engined fighter of World War II. It was produced in significant numbers and the first U.S. built fighter airplane to push its nose over Europe after the fall of France. 

The solid metal Corsair Tornado has acid etched “rivets” along the barrel; the body is printed with the plane’s markings and trimmed with gunmetal accents to recreate the aesthetics of the fighter. It is packaged in a commemorative tube which can also be used a pen stand, this pen makes great for everyday use, a gift or a collector's piece.

The ink cartriddge in this pen is a roller ball. It offers the convenience of a ballpoint pen, but the same "wet ink" feel as a fountain pen. The pen starts writing the instant it touches paper, and it's important to make sure the tip is retracted back into the pen when done writing to avoid ink stains on clothing. We have tried these out here at the Air Force Museum Store and our E-Commerce Specialist immediately decided to purchase one for himself stating "This is the smoothest, nicest pen I've ever used"
