Description
Description
This custom-made wine goblet commemorates the incredibly daring Doolittle raid of April 1942 when the Army Air Forces worked in close collaboration with the US Navy. The Navy brought a group of B-25B Mitchell medium range bombers within striking distance of some of the major cities in Japan via aircraft carrier. While these raids weren't necessarily devastating in physical nature, they were incredibly demoralizing to the Japanese populous and the Japanese had to recall troops back to mainland Japan for homeland defense. This also gave a huge boost in morale to US troops on the front lines.
The goblet has deeply etched glass, and clean lines. It holds 17 ounces of liquid.
